Tilda On Bee Hive - Put On Your Sunglasses!

Happy Tuesday Everyone! I don't know exactly what drove me to use this color, maybe the yellow because of the "bee" but it surely turned out quite bright lol! Here's Tilda sitting the her bee hive. The DP is from Daisy D's with the bottom edge punched with MS heart border and I added some teeny-tiny red blings from my nail art kit. I then matted this piece to SU! so saffron CS (love this color!), and matted on SU! chocolate chip CS. The bottom was very "bare" so I stamped the little bees that come with the Magnolia spring kit, colored with Copics, then with Spica gold but it doesn't show up. Oh, Tilda and the bee are also colored with Copics, and I've added crystal lacquer to the bee (again). Used Paper Shapers flourish punch for the corner and added Prima flowers with a brown brad, tied it off with red ribbon. That's it for this card. Thank you for sitting a bit with me today, and have a wonderful week.

Tilda With Bee in Blue Jeans

Happy Monday everyone! I finally got a chance to ink up my new Magnolia spring kit stamps so I started with Tilda and the bee. I'm still trying to make regular (A2) size cards so this card is simple. I stamped Tilda's pants on old CTMH jeans DP I had from a while back, then cut it and paper-pieced it. All images are colored with Copics. I stamped the little bees on the stonewall before coloring it then added crystal lacquer to make it pop but it doesn't show up well in the picture, same for the bee in Tilda's hand. I used Flower Soft along the base of the wall to add some color. The DP is from Chatterbox/Sky Garden Floral. I also gave Tilda a "bee charm" necklace that I attached with embroidery floss. That's about it for this card. Thank you for stopping by and enjoy a new week doing what makes you happy!

"Postale" Gorjuss Girl

My final card using another quarter of Webster's Pages Your Life/Beautiful - Bee Balm DP. Since the word "Postale" was at the top of this piece, I thought I would use the Gorjuss Girl holding a letter in her hand. After coloring and cutting her out, I mounted her on a piece of SU! kraft CS that I embossed with my Cuttlebug pin dot folder and mounted that on CTMH Indian Corn Blue CS. I also added crystal lacquer to the butterfly, added some blue lace trim and was done. I had fun working with these Webster's Pages DP because you can get so many different looks from one sheet! I don't know why the blue on her dress came out lighter than IRL, but it does really match the ribbon quite closely LOL! Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your day.

Gorjuss In Purple

I'm still using up my Webster's Pages Your Life/Beautiful-Bee Balm DP. Here I colored another Gorjuss Girl (can't get enough of these girls) with her little fox (?) friend in a rather monotone lavender color scheme. I cut around the edges of the leaves and tucked the image beneath them, then distressed around the image to blend into the DP. I also used crystal lacquer on both the butterfly and bee to make them pop a little. Finally I added two Prima flowers with little half pearls over the two white flowers on the DP to give them some color. That's all for this card.

Thoughts of You - Gorjuss!

Happy Tuesday! I stayed away from the 'puter again yesterday so I could focus on using up DPs laying on my table. I am posting 3 cards today...yes, I'm surprised, but I have 3 cards I finished since yesterday. The first is another Gorjuss girl that I paper-pieced her dress, cut and colored two of the fox (?) and her cap, and popped them on dimensionals. I added some Flower Soft at her feet. CS is SU! Pretty in Pink, DP is Making Memories Flower Patch. The sentiment is from Michael's $1 spot, prima flower topped with a green "wedding flowers" also from Michael's (last year) and some little butterfly brads I have stashed. Colored image with Copics. That's it for this card. My other two cards are shown above. I appreciate your taking the time to browse my creations, and wish you all a pleasant week.

Another Friends' Challenge

Happy Sunday! Our weekend is almost over and I had to finish another friendly challenge with my friends Kellie S and Kristina that is due tomorrow. This time we did a black and white challenge with just one other color for the embellies. I decided to use my Gorjuss Girl, stamped her with Memento Tuxedo black on PaperTrey white, and colored her hair and leggings with Kor-I-Noor #12 (black) pencil and OMS. Then I cut the image out using my square scallop Nesties die and layered that on a larger Nesties scallop and doodled dots on both. For the sentiment, I used my OLD Sizzix "Tabs, Hearts & Double Box" die and cut one in black for the frame and one in white for the heart, and stamped the "love" from SU! "small script" stamp set. The ribbon, flower and brads are from my stash. This was a very quick card to make as you can see I hardly added embellies! Thank you for stopping by, and have a fun-filled week!

Friendly Friends Challenge

Today our friend Kellie S challenged Kristina and me to make a card with the circle Magnolia image she just got that we stamped together yesterday. Well, here is my card for today. Because of the "background" image, I decided to do a recessed window card. The card base is 5.5" square and I used SU! So Saffron CS. I thought a depth of 1/4" would work. I stamped and cut out the chick, and the lovely Tilda with her pretty spring hat. All images colored first with Copics then with Prismacolor pencils and OMS. I thought it needed some kind of "fence" so I added the MS picket fence border punch. Hope you didn't get "pinched" today...I just stayed at home and had a PJ kind of day. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and have a wonderful week.

Gorjuss Girls Are Here!

I finally received my set of Gorjuss Girls on Saturday and just had to ink them up. Not much trims and blings on these cards...guess I was so anxious to lay them down and make a card l0l! For my first card, I used DP from Webster's Pages/Your Life-Beautiful. I just quartered the sheet and chose one corner. Colored her with Copics. Because of the "serene" feeling of this paper, I decided to leave it simple and stamped and die-cut this sentiment that is a favorite of mine.

On my second card, the DP is from Chatterbox/Denim Guest Floral and I used both the front and the back of the DP. Colored her with Copics, blue lace trim is from my stash as well as the tiny flowers. Not much going on here with this card.

Thank you for stopping by and spending a few minutes with me. Have a wonderful week and keep on stamping...

Another Easter Tilda

Happy Friday everyone! This means late nights and fun weekends stampin and scrappin and just having fun! Here's another Easter Tilda. I used CS from SU! tho I don't exactly know the name of the colors since it was all mixed up, the DP is from Making Memories "All Girl" pack, border heart punch and butterfly punch from MS, and circle punch from Fiskars. Tilda is colored with Copics and I added some nail art bling on her bow and on the butterfly. Very simple straight forward card. Have a fun-filled weekend and thank you for stopping by.

Easter Tilda Holding Bunny

I used the Magnolia-licious' March sketch for my card today as it seemed suitable (5.5 square) for the size of my focal image. Card base is So Saffron from SU! as well as the Pretty in Pink CS. DP is Basic Grey Urban Prairie/Bountiful, flowers and ribbon from stash, and altho' you can't really see, I curled the stems of the yellow flowers to look like curly vines. I also added two tulip eyelets. Tilda is colored with both Copics and Prismacolor pencils and OMS and I outlined the image with French Gray. Thank you for stopping by today and as the weekend is fast approaching, have a wonderful, fun weekend!

Basic Grey Sketch Challenge

Tonight I decided to play with the Basic Grey Challenge and used DPs from the Porcelain paper pad. I cut out two ornate corners using my Cuttlebug quad die set (not sure of name), added the pink velvet trim, and also a double layered butterfly applique with rhinestones on it (I think I got it from WalMart). Of course, there's my favorite Giggling Tilda! Thanks for stopping by again and enjoy your week!

Swap Card from Joy!

It's me again...yeah, another post in one day is rare, but I just had to share this "swap" card I got from Joy of Tamiko's. We attended the SU! Regional meeting in Honolulu on February 21st and altho' I didn't make any swaps, Joy so generously offered to swap with me. She actually took it one step further and adhered it to a white card. Thank you so much for this card Joy...I'll put it into my "Memento Box" as this is the first swap card I have received. You are so sweet, generous, and a lot of fun.

SCS218-My first SCS Challenge!

Hi there! Imagine, I decided today to try my first sketch challenge over at SCS. My apologies for the dark photo...night light just doesn't cut it. Anyway, I used SU! close to cocoa for the base card and matting along with whisper white, and the Pink Pirouette DSP. I colored Tilda with Copics along with the bench she is sitting on. The lace trim is from my humongous stash, the edge of the first panel is punched with MS heart border punch, and lastly, I used SU! Flower Fusion Too felt flowers. Thank you for stopping by, and in Hawaii, Happy Girls' Day to you all.
