TWIN TILDA AS "BEST FRIENDS"

Happy Friday/Saturday to all you Maggie-Lovers!    A while ago, I made an easel card using Twin Tilda, #335 (Autumn 2010 Collection), from Diana's Magnolia-licious online store.  You can also click on Diana's store  icon on my sidebar for easy access to all the wonderful Magnolia images and accessories.  I forgot to post this card after I sent the card out and thought I'd post it now for my "journal" of cards.

I thought this image would be perfect for a "BFF" kind of card. After coloring and cutting out the image, I placed these cuties on a brown piece of CS punched with an oval punch for "grounding" and added some Flower Soft.
That's all I have to share today, and hope to get in some crafting time over the weekend.
Thank you for taking time to visit, and for all your sweet and encouraging comments.  To those that have a "no-comment reply", I would like to thank you here since I am not able to send you a note directly to your email.  I try to respond to each comment I receive because I appreciate the time you take to visit and comment.
Whatever you have planned for the weekend, enjoy yourself, and stay safe.

Violet Is Back!

Happy Sunday!  The weekends go by too fast but I hope you all are having fun!  Since I had some time, and I had all the materials still on my desk from Friday's card, I decided to make another and use this for the Cute Card Thursday challenge which calls for flowers and hearts.
Sorry for the glare.  I used this pink quartz text weight paper and it's very shimmery and I couldn't get rid of the glare.
The DPs is from the Martha Stewart mat pack again.

And while making Valentine's Day projects, I made some heart boxes with my Sizzix Heart Box & Key die and filled them with Hershey's Kisses (nuggets!) for some friends.

Thank you for stopping by and have a safe and fun-filled Sunday.  I also wish you all a Happy Valentine's Day!

Violet Wishes You a Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi Crafters!  Are you ready for the weekend?  I am!  Hubby's away on a business trip so that means I get to stay in my PJ's, eat and sleep when I want!  I was able to finish a few things for Valentine's Day and here is a card I made with the new Swiss Pixies "Violet With Key."  It actually was a RAK I got from my friend Suzan when I visited her in L.A. last month (thank you Suzan!) and I couldn't wait to ink her up for THIS YEAR's V-Day!

My card base is 5.5" square from SU! kraft CS and the heart border mat is Bazzill CS, punched with MS PATP punch.  The DP block, as well as the die-cut heart is from MS "Key & Heart" mat pad that I bought while shopping with Suzan at Michael's.  The heart is die-cut with a Nellie Snellen Multi Frame Die. I stamped "Violet With Key" with Memento tuxedo black on Cryogen CS and colored her with Copics.  Isn't she a doll?
I'm entering this in the Everybody Art Challenge and the theme is "Valentine."
Thank you for taking the time to stop by, and I wish you all a fun-filled weekend!

 Hugs,

Mini Tilda Blowing Hearts on a Big Card!

Hello fellow Maggie Lovers!  How are you faring?  Ready for the weekend? Today I want to share a card I made for the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge that is a Recipe and calls for hearts, pink, silver, white and green if needed for leaves.  I'm still in a funk and lacking some mojo after vacation but was able to play and make a fast card.  It looks out of balance (like me, hehehe) but here it is:
Pardon the glare on my pic.  I tried taking several pics but because the hearts are silver and like foil, it was hard to get a good shot.
My card is 5.5" square for PTI select white CS that I love because of its sturdiness.  The silver heart on pink DP is from Target that I bought when I was in L.A. having fun with Suzan.
The silver paper I used for the mat and for the scallop hearts are from my stash (some paper from Paris), and the white hearts are die-cut from PTI CS.  I embossed the large heart with my Cuttlebug EF but you can't see it in the pic.  I also die-cut a silver flourish from the Tim Holtz die.  I ended up using this mini Tilda that I got from Diana's Magnolia-licious store (click on my sidebar) because I love her and don't have the regular sized image (yet!).  I made a double bow using both white and pink organdy ribbon with silver edges using my Bow Easy, added a key charm from my stash, and the beautiful lace trim is from Jo-Ann's when Suzan and I went shopping (thank you for taking me all over the place Suzan!!!).  Here's a look at the inside of my card:

I left it very simple and just added the other piece of the flourish (the die cuts two different shapes) to kinda dress up the jotting area.
Well, that's it for my card.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by and for all the lovely, encouraging comments you wonderful ladies leave for me.  I truly appreciate it and am grateful for all the cyber friends I have made out there.
Enjoy your weekend, and I hope you get some crafting time in.
