Lady Tilda on a Heart Frame

Hi all you wonderful crafty people!  Hope you are having a great week and we're already in the middle and anxious for the weekend!  I want to share a very special RAK I received from my GF Suzan.  I was speechless when I opened the package and saw this:

It is covered with so many beautiful pink roses and pink butterflies.  Her coloring is just gorgeous, and I love how she put Lady Tilda on this beautiful handmade heart frame!  Thank you so much, Suzan!  You know she found a good home!  I apologize for the blurry background.  I hung the frame on my window to take a pic and the background is a forest.  I then hung this beautiful rose heart frame on a pic in my craft room as I thought the saying was so appropriate for this.  You can see more of Suzan's wonderful creations here.
Thank you for stopping by.  I know you will be inspired to create something other than a card with all those wonderful Maggies!  I'll be away on vacation so no posting for a while.  Until the next time, stay safe and happy crafting!

Just Magnolia Week 53 Sketch Challenge

Happy Thursday, Everyone!  The weekend is almost upon us and I'm sure you have some great plans in store!  A quick post today.  I made a card for the Just Magnolia Week #53 but I think I missed the cut off but I'm posting this any way for my craft journal.  This is Tilda With Flowing Hair from the 2010 Hoppy Easter Collection and you can get her from Diana's Magnolia-licious online store...just a click away...click on the button on my sidebar.
Card base is 5.5" x 5.5" and I used Bazzill.  DP is from K&Co-Brenda Walton/Madeline.
Stamp:  Magnolia - Tilda with Flowing Hair
Inks:  Memento tuxedo black (stamped on PTI select white CS)
Image is colored with Copics but I forgot to list them (sorry) and cut out with Nesties Curved Rectangles using the out of the frame technique.  It is mounted with foam tape for dimension.
Others:  Ribbon, lace, and pearls from stash, flowers from Wild Orchid, given to me as a RAK from a blog friend.  I clustered the flowers like a corsage then adhered them with foam tape.

This is the sketch for this week's challenge, and is provided by the very talented Bev Rochester!  Thank for for this wonderful and fun sketch, Bev!
I think this will be my new "lean-to" layout for many cards to come.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I wish you all a fun-filled weekend, and happy crafting.  Until the next time, Aloha!

Magnolia-licious Highlites Sketch for May

Happy Monday/Tuesday, Everyone!  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  The weather in Hawaii sucks!  The "vog" (volcanic fog) got worse today and the whole island is covered in gray!  From where we live, you can't even see the mountain ranges that surround us...all you see is gray all over.  I stayed indoors all day cleaning and got a chance to work on a card.  You can purchase your Magnolia stamps and some wonderful accessories from Diana's Magnolia-licious on-line store by clicking on the button on my sidebar!  If you don't find something you want, drop Diana an email and she'll be happy to help you! I decided to follow the Magnolia-licious Highlites May sketch and here is what I came up with.
Card base (Bazzill) is 5.5" x 5.5"; DP is from DVWV Luxury Stack.  Images stamped with Memento black on PTI Select White CS, and colored with Copics:
Castle Window:  C1, 3, 5; Skin: E50, 00, R00; Hair:  E99, YR24; Dress: RV10, 11
Stamps:  Magnolia - Longing Tilda and Castle Wall
All trims from my stash; Star Dust Stickles
I hope this voggy weather clears up soon as it causes itchy eyes and throat, headaches, and for people with respiratory problems, maybe an ER visit.  Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by.  I hope you are enjoying better weather where you are!

You're My Cup 'a Tea!

Happy NSD!  Are you all out there shopping for bargains since it's National Scrapbooking Day?  I'm generally an "armchair" shopper so I'm at home trying to catch up on "Thank You" cards LOL!  I had fun putting these two cards together because of the simplicity and I really wanted to focus on the images.
Sorry for the bad pic.  The one on the right has a lot of shadows and the one on the left is truer IRL. I know, I gotta get a new camera but hubby said not now because "it's only for crafting" and we're planning a vacation shortly (sigh!).  Anyways, on to my card . . . the base is a 5.5" x 5.5" and I used Bazzill Bling Blank Check and the matting is SU! Lavender Lace.  I stamped the cup twice, once on SU! Very Vanilla, and then on the DP (imaginisce Now & Forever/Joys of Jasmine) and cut the main part out, distressed with Ranger Scattered Straw, dotted with Golden Rod Stickles and around the trim and handle of the cup (but you can't see the sparkle in the pic!).  I added some Glossy Accents on the cup handle and the chocolate part of the muffin.  I also paper pieced the little Cowberry Muffin, and also added Stardust Stickles for the icing.  The cotton lace trim is from our LSS, Munchkins.  Cyn has a lot of ribbons and laces and great trims!  Tilda is colored with Copics and I added lots of Stardust Stickles on her wings
Recipe:
Stamps:  Magnolia - Jam Tilda, Tea Cup (A Little Yummy for your Tummy collection; Cowberry Muffin (So Heavenly, Travel and School collection)
Plug in:  The Tea Cup stamp was a gift to me from my GF Kyoko of Cards & Tags Mania (posted previously) so thank you, Kyoko!  You're also my FA!  (secret joke!)
Copics:  Hair:  E99, YR24; Skin: E50, 00, R00; Wings: BG10; Dress: BV01, 02, 04
Sentiment is computer generated
Paper flowers from stash, colored with Copics B02 to match
You can get your Magnolia stamps from Diana's on-line store by clicking on the button on my sidebar.  If you don't see what you want, email Diana and she'll be happy to help you!
Hope all you wonderful crafters are enjoying NSD and enjoying your weekend!  Thank you for stopping by today and until the next time . . . stay safe and I'll be visiting you soon!
