Tilda With Gift

Happy Thursday, Everyone! To all of you out there who are having snowfall, I can only imagine how beautiful it is at this time of year...pristine white, the tree branches hanging with the weigwht of snow...you are very fortunate to experience the wonders of the seasons. Sure, we have sunshine almost year 'round, but I really think winter is one of the most beautiful seasons, so please enjoy it for me! LOL! I have to "pay" to go somewhere to see and play in snow!
I was fortunate to be able to have a "stamping day" with a friend I haven't seen for a while and it was so much fun to get together for "coffee and crafting." Ann makes beautiful cards but she doesn't have a blog yet and we're encouraging her to start one. Anyways, I saw a card she was working on so I CASED it! What better and fun way to create a card with all the ideas laying right before you right?!!! So here it is:

My card base is 5.5" square and I "snatched" it from Ann. It's by Bazzill Basics, smooth and no texture in a rich red. I don't know the name of the red polka dot paper as I also got this from Ann. The other DPS are from Magnolia, "So Jolly" Wrapped, and "Under the Mistletoe" Lingonberry.
Tilda was colored with Copics: Coat and Cap, R46 and R39; Coat trim, "pom pom," and shoes in E31 and E33, Present and Socks, E30 and YG97. Okay, I admit, I was lazy and basically used only two colors for each area...so I could get this done. But, most of all, we had fun eating and chatting and sharing ideas. Thanks Ann!
And, just a note for my GF Linda, yes, this card is just one layer! LOL! How did you guess I was going to wind down from stamping an image 4 times down to just one?!!! Running out of time. Thank you for stopping by today and I wish you all a very Happy Holiday Season. Enjoy yourself wherever you are or live. In Hawaii, we only have "liquid snow" which is what we call our rainy season. Catch a snowflake and think of me! Hugs to all of you!

Christmas Angel Tilda

Happy Wednesday, Everyone! It's mid-week already so not much longer for the weekend to come...and Christmas! Today's card is getting simpler in layout and pieces...like counting down I guess LOL!
My card base is the usual 5.5" square and I used Bazzill CS, then a layer of gold metallic CS, and another layer of the Bazzill CS. On top of that I used the beautiful DP from Magnolia called Christmas Angel, same name as the stamp.
I stamped Tilda only twice this time, once for the base, and then on a piece of purple faux suede and cut out her dress. I also cut out the little star Tilda is holding, colored it with Copics and added som gold Stickles. After trimming the image, I rounded the corners and matted it on the same gold metallic CS.
The music sheet you see is from Magnolia's "Silent Night" DP that I die-cut with my OLD Sizzix "Ancient Document" die, then matted that on the gold metallic CS.
I added a piece of Venetian lace but you can hardly see it. I knew it would be covered up, but I wanted a touch of "elegance" and CS strips would not do for this particular Christmas Angel. Both images were adhered with foam tape to give it some dimension. I punched some of those branches (?) with my MS punch from the gold metallic CS. The flowers are from Kaiser. Lastly, I added four half-back pearls from Basic Grey. That's it! Less stamping and less cutting...but of course the Magnolia DPs speak for themselves and I love every one in the Christmas collection.
Thank you for stopping by today, and I want you to know that all the lovely comments you ladies leave me are very much appreciated! We are all pressed for time, but you make time to drop me a note and every one is read and appreciated. Have a wonderful day, keep warm (and dry), and happy crafting!

Tilda As Santa's Helper!

Happy Tuesday, Everyone! Glad to see you all made it through Monday. My card today is very simple and much less labor intensive as my previous card. Guess I'd better start going CAS (clean and simple) or smaller in size as we're getting closer to Christmas hehehe!

My card base is 5.5" square and all CS is Bazzill. The DP here is from Basic Grey, Eskimo Kisses. I tell you, I love every design they came out with in this series. I decided to make a "pastel" card today after Sunday's glaring one.
This time, I stamped Tilda only three times, once for the base, then on a CTMH gingham check DP and cut out each "layer" of her dress separately so her "lace" would still be white, and the third on some pink faux suede for her dress band and Santa's cap, to which I also applied liquid applique and sprinkled some glitter on, then waited a while and heat embossed it. I then added a tiny snowflake on the tip of her cap.
Sometimes I think I do this so I don't have to think about which Copic colors to use that will match my papers! LOL! Cutting for me is more fun than coloring most of the times! LOL!
I had some leftover pink leaves from a favor box I made a while ago, topped it with some punched out MS branches that I added Stickles to, added a double-loop ribbon made with my "Bow Easy" and finally added a pink paper rose on top. Lastly, I punched out two snowflakes with my MS snowflake punch from some Doodlebug glitter paper, and also added little white snowflakes from "Dress It Up" buttons. I popped Tilda on foam tape. That's it!
Oh oh...the house directly behind Tilda's cap makes it look as though she has something weird on her cap! I should have moved her over a little bit more! Oh well, it's too late now.
Thank you for stopping by today, and tomorrow is hump day so we're getting close to the weekend! Keep warm and remember, people in Hawaii envy those of you who get to play in the snow (well, most of us!) while we play in sunshine! I mean, we miss the change in seasons! Happy crafting.

Tilda Wrapped Up

Happy Sunday, Everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are ready to start a new week...and we get closer Christmas! I had some time to make a few cards over the weekend and this is the first I'd like to share with you:

This is Wrapped Tilda from Magnolia. My card base is the usual 5.5" square, and I used Bazzill for all CS. The DP is from Magnolia, "Under the Mistletoe" and it has such a beautiful feel and light texture to it!
I stamped Tilda four times: the first was for the base and I colored her skin and hair; the second one was to color and cut out her face and hair, the third time I stamped her on the DP so I could paper-piece her dress, and lastly, I stamped her on that faux suede paper and cut out her bow and socks/shoes. I love that soft suede shoes on her!
I decided to pull out that crocheted doily (again) and laced up with red satin ribbon and tied a bow at the top. I then added some MS branch punches and added Star Dust Stickles to the branches but it doesn't show up well in the pic. I then added some layered Kaiser flowers and topped it off with a paper rose from my stash. I cut a strip of CS and puched the borders with a MS border punch...don't know the name since I threw away the package and there's just too many to remember anyway! LOL! For the corners, I used my Cuttlebug corner die, and again, added som Kaiser flowers and a rose in the bottom left corner. That's it!
Thank you ever so much for stopping by today and as Christmas gets closer, we'll all be scrambling to finish cards and gifts and shop, etc. so many of us will not have too much time to blog or blog hop. And when this is all over, we have to start thinking of Valentine's Day! OMG! Time sure flies by...too fast! I wish you all a blessed week, stay safe, keep warm, and enjoy every moment!

I Won Blog Candy!

Happy Aloha (Furlough) Friday, going on Saturday, Everyone!
I just had to share this awesome blog candy I won from Maria of Marias Studio. Actually, I won some blog candy back in March/April but the package got lost in transit. Then, last week, this package arrives and it is full of all kinds of goodies. It was from Maria! I was totally shocked because actually, I had won two Cuttlebug embossing folders but she sent me a motherload of other goodies and a very cute card! Maria, thank you so very much for all these goodies! It's like Christmas came early! Please check out Maria's blog and also, she makes very pretty charms from jewelry pieces and has her first tutorial on Humble Pie Stamps. Go check it out and soon you'll be making your own cute little angel charms! Maria's tutorial is excellent and easy to follow. Now here's the cute card Maria made for me:

Thank you for stopping by today, and I wish you all a fun-filled weekend. Have fun, stay safe, and I'll be visiting you soon.
Happy crafting, Everyone!

RAKs to Give and a Christmas RAK Received

Happy Hump Day, Everyone! Boy did I almost make a big boo-boo on the title for today! I had to spell out Christmas and not use it as part of an acronym because it would almost be x-rated! Okay, dry joke! I made a few RAKs since I was on a roll with the mini easel calendar/box:

I used the same Dinner Tilda and paper pieced their dresses, but used different DPs.
Below are two more I was able to finish

I have saved the best for last! While working at the craft fair over the weekend, my sweet GF Linda popped in after she finished work on Friday and gave me this most adorable Christmas tree! It's all decorated with a "golf" theme and it is loaded with golf balls, golf clubs, golf bag, etc. I'm so ecstatic about this and this is our only Christmas tree we will put up this year! Even hubby was so impressed with this as we've never seen a tree decorated with a golf theme! Linda, thank you so very much for thinking of me in this very special way!!! Your heart is so big and filled with love, and you are what I know as a PURE FRIEND! You are spoiling me rotten girl! (But I love it... sigh!). So here it is in all it's glory:

I haven't started decorating the house yet but will this weekend. This cutie will go on a dressed up stand in front of the fireplace, among the Poinsettia pots we are getting.
I can't believe we're in to December already and soon the New Year will be staring at us in the face. Thank you for stopping by today, and I wish you all a wonderful day, every day of the week!
Oh yeah! I did not renew my subscription to Feedblitz in case you are wondering why you aren't receiving any email updates. I'm not good with the computer/programs so I need to find a way to have you subscribe again in another way. Until then, I apologize for the inconvenience, but please stop by from time to time when you can. I really appreciate that.
