TWILIGHT SAGA - A PARTY

Happy Aloha Friday Everyone! Well, finally the "vog" is gone and our tradewinds are back. But best of all, tonight starts the "Craft and Gift Fair" at Neal Blaisdell Center. There will be so many craft booths and vendors with new items to help you shop for Christmas gifts! I will be working to help my hubby all weekend starting tonight. I think I'll try to sneak away every so often to see what the crafters have for sale. This should be fun!

I went to a gathering at Jamee's house... to celebrate the upcoming New Moon movie that will hit the theaters in Hawaii on November 20th. We were asked to dress in the traditional Twilight colors of red/black/white. Theme music from Twilight and New Moon were played in the background and it was soooooo soothing! We had a lot of fun and food, food, food. Talking and believe it or not, we did some Make n Takes!!!

Here are the RAKs I made for each gal:

This box was die-cut from my Sizzix "Bag with Scallop" die using a red CS from Bazzill. I cut a piece of white CS to fit the front of the box and embossed it with my Cuttlebug EF.
I used my MS fence border punch to make the black fence. I stamped Edward's (edited: Linda caught my boo-boo...somehow his name always comes out as Edwin, as in Magnolia???!) face and the "Cullens" with Memento tuxedo black onto PTI select white CS, then cut or punched out the image. (Sorry all you Jacob fans!
A new fashion jewelry store opened up right next to one of our LSS and I stopped in and she had these beautiful crystals and hair pins so I thought it would be perfect! All the girls have long hair and wear it up most of the time, and the crystal pendant can be hung up behind the car mirror. (Do cyrstals ward off "bad" things? LOL!)

The pins were placed in the red organdy bag and inserted into the box.

I found some clear glass votive holders and picked up some rub-ons to place around the top of the holder, added some very fine tinsel shreds, then placed a flameless tea light candle in the center...needed for the Twilight time of day!

Halloween is almost here so I decided to make a small basket to put some treats inside. (This pic is sans the ghost and pumpkin appliques.) I also did a Make n Take on this basket and it surprised the gals at how fast you can make one! I would say in 3 minutes the basket is formed!
This is a good project for using up all your scrap pieces. I believe I found the instructions for this almost two years ago from Leslie Miller (?). I made a basket and took it apart to get the measurements again and I had a post-it note where I got the idea from and can't find it now so i must've thrown it away accidentally. Darn!
We ended up making 30 more baskets for Janis to take to work for some kind of event they were holding in their department. Denise, Jamee, Joni and Linda also pitched in to help Janis. It was alot of fun at this themed party. Thank you, Jamee!
Well, I have to get ready to start heading out the door to set up for tonight's fair. I thank each of you for stopping by today to spend a few moments with me. I enjoy reading your comments, all of them, and even those comments that will help me grow and learn more. I'm always looking at things from "my point of view" and would love to see/hear yours. Have a fun-filled weekend, and happy crafting.
