Well, happy Saturday/Sunday fellow Maggie Lovers! I'm back from vacation and must say I worked hard and played hard, and enjoyed every moment. I got to go shopping with my friend Suzan and boy did we shop LOL! A whole suitcase just for craft supplies! I even won my first "Royal Flush" on a quarter slot machine woohoo! Okay, enough rambling! I have another Maggie card to share from the "Your Are So Special 2011 Collection" and she is "Tilda With a Small Gift" which I will use for Valentine's Day.
My card is my usual 5.5" square from a burgundy colored Bazzill CS, the next two layers are also from Bazzill. The DPs I used are (again) from Making Memories Je t'Adore line. I totally fell in love with all the designs in this line. The mat behind Tilda is also from MM Je t'Adore journaling book. I just trimmed it down to fit. I stamped Tilda with Memento tuxedo black on PTI CS, colored her with Copics, cut her out, and adhered her to the mat piece. I ran a piece of padded pink heart ribbon to cover the seam between the two DPs, then added some tiny cotton lace flowers with pearls on the heart. My bow is made from May Arts pink wrinkled ribbon done on my Bow Easy, and a rhinestone heart added. That's it!
Valentine's Day is just around the corner and I really need to use up most of the DPs I bought so I'd better get going! Hope you are all enjoying your weekend and finding some time to craft and post to share with us. All I have learned about cardmaking DID NOT come from a text book, but from all you lovely ladies out there and for that, I thank you very much! I truly appreciate your taking the time to stop by and thank you for that!
Oh, if you want to know what colors I used for her dress, its R81, 83, 85, her shoes E33, 31, and her hair E35, 33, 51. That's it! I'm a simple person, uncomplicated, and even when cooking, looks for recipes with few ingredients LOL!

Tilda with Hanging Heart - My First Valentine's Day Card!
Happy Monday/Tuesday fellow Maggie lovers! Last night I made a very simple and quick card using some beautiful Making Memories "Je t'Adore" cards from their card pak! There are 5 different designs and 3 are my favorite so here's the first one:
I apologize for the lousy quality. It's been overcast and rainy and not much sun and, I'm not a good photographer! Anyway, I cut the card in half (you'll see a full shot below) and used the front of the card for my card front which is an A2 in size. I die cut a Loopy Circle with my SB die, then die-cut a circle to fit the center, and wove a string of pearls in the loops.
This is "Tilda With Hanging Heart" that I got from Diana's Magnolia-licious store. You can click on my sidebar to get to her store.
Tilda is stamped with Memento tuxedo black on PTI select white CS (my favorite!) and colored with Copics (colors listed below), cut out, and adhered with foam tape to the matted piece. I also punched out the heart using a MS "Lace Scallop Heart" punch, and a Marvy scallop heart punch from pink vellum. The sentiment is from Hero Arts "Stencil Prints" set. I then used the back or bottom half of the MM card for the inside of my card and again, kept it very simple:

Here is a pic of the MM card laid down flat:
Oooops, sorry, there are 5 different designs in the card pack and I just noticed my error on the pic where it say 4, but it's 5 designs and 4 cards each. These cards are beautiful in itself and you can also get matching envelopes! I just wanted to put my own spin on them! Quick, simple, easy card!
Copic colors used:
Dress: R83, 81, RV00 (dotted using Sharpie Ex-Fine white pen)
Heart ribbon: R39, 37
Hair: E35, 33, 51
Skin: E00, 50, R00
Wings: BG10, covered with glue pen and Prisma glitter
That's it! Thank you for taking the time to swing by today. I'll have another Valentine's Day card to share tomorrow, then I'll be going on a mini vacation from Thursday. Thank you all for also sharing your creativity and inspiration. I've learned from many of you out there in blogland!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY (BALLOON) TILDA
Happy Sunday fellow crafters and Maggie lovers! Yep! Another birthday card with the cutie Tilda with Balloon and I don't know the name since it came with the Winter Kit so we'll have to wait until the release. This time, I kept track of the colors I used and have listed them below. So here's what I made (two of the same since I have all the supplies out!):
My card base is my usual 5.5" square out of Bazzill white CS, then layered with PTI Aqua Mist and Lavender Moon CS. I stamped this cutie-pie with Memento black tuxedo on PTI select white CS and colored her with Copics (colors listed below). DP is Making Memories-Lauren. I punched the border strip with an EK Success "Morocco" punch from PTI aqua mist CS, and die cut the leaves with SU! die from PTI lavender moon CS. Ribbon is also from PTI in lavender moon. The sentiment on the balloon is a very old, small "peg" stamp I've had for years but it surely comes in handy for small images and tags. There's no name on it. Tilda is adhered to the card with foam tape. The inside of the card is very simple so I have enough space to write my sentiments to the birthday gal, and won't be too bulky to mail.
Copics used:
Hair: E35, 33, 51, 50
Dress: V15, 12, 01, and BG13, 11, 000 (for socks also)
Shoes: E33, 31
Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, and for your sweet comments. Don't be afraid to leave me constructive criticism also so I can learn and garner different ideas. Lets have fun in 2011, and thank you all also for sharing your talent and creativity. It can only get better by sharing ideas!

Tilda with Balloon
Happy (Aloha) Friday! Hope your first week back to work was manageable! I've been able to make a few cards and I couldn't wait to get started after the holiday festivities! I don't know the name of this Tilda, but she was in the Winter Kit Collection. So many friends will be celebrating their birthday soon so I'm glad this cutie was in the collection.
Sorry I didn't keep track of all the Copic colors I used as I was struggling to find the right shade. It's not really pink, nor is it peach, but something like salmon pink and I couldn't keep track. I only remember the colors I used for her hair which are E35, E33, E51, E50, and her shoes E33, E31.
I fell in love with this new DP from Making Memories "Je t'adore" and I said I wouldn't buy any more and would use up what I have, but I just couldn't resist LOL! I also used my Magnolia Doohicky tag die and stamped a sentiment on it, tucked it under the image which is mounted on foam tape. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I haven't decided how to finish the inside because I'm not satisfied with what I did.
Thank you for stopping by today, and I wish you a wonderful weekend and hope you can squeeze in some crafting time!

Happy New Year To All and Blog Award
Happy New Year to all you wonderfully talented people out there! I've met and became friends with so many of you in blogland, and have garnered so much knowledge from you all, so thank you very much for sharing your creativity and inspiration. To my surprise, I received two identical blog awards, from Leslie, and Justine. The requirements are for me to:
1. Thank and link back to the person(s) who gave me the award (THANK YOU, LESLIE AND JUSTINE!),
2. Share 8 things about myself,
3. Forward it to 8 bloggers, and
4. Contact those bloggers and tell them about their award
So, here goes, some things you may not have known about me:
1. I LOVE ribbons, lace trims, flowers
2. Born and raised in Hawaii (Oahu) and never lived anywhere else!
3. Surrounded by water and we have so many beautiful beaches, but I haven't gone swimming in years!
4. Hubby supports my crafting addiction since I was laid off from LV over 5 years ago
5. I enjoy golfing and traveling, and shop for craft supplies on the Mainland since prices are ridiculously high here and limited in choices
6. I "hoard" so I can "always see the pretty papers, etc." so I must learn to use them from this year on!
7. I don't like to cook any more and love to try different restaurants
8. I love anything chocolate (dark) and peanut butter!
Receiving a Blog Award and having to pass it along is never an easy task as there are thousands of talented people out there, but here goes:
Here's your Blog Award, ladies:
