Happy Saturday Everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend and the weather is improving. I had some time last night so I decided to use the sketch from Just Magnolias and came up with this card. I don't know the name of this DP as I purchased 5 packs from our LSS and I remember it said "Dovecraft" and maybe (just maybe) the designer is Karen Knight? I divvied up the pack and gave away the icon sheet and kept only what I wanted. Anyway, the card base is 5.5" square and I used a light pink by Bazzill. I stamped "Tilda with Ponytail" with Memento Tuxedo Black on PTI white CS, colored her with Copics, then cut her out and used foam tape to mount her on the circle. I punched 4 butterflies with my MS punch, 2 each in CS and 2 in pink vellum, then I distressed the vellum edges and adhered them together with crystal lacquer. I stuck a stamen in this teardrop pearls I have for the body and antennaes. The "dream" is stamped with my VERY OLD Just Rite sentiment sent I got about 6 years ago! One of those self-inking little stampers which is now discontinued I'm sure, then I punched it out with my Marvy (yellow) scallop heart punch. The rectangle panel is Bazzill CS and another DP from the same paper pack. Oh I love this card! I really like what you've done with the butterflies! To make them so much more by adding another layer of vellum! So funny - one of those "why didn't I think of that" moments. And that is why we follow blogs. hee hee!
