Birthday Card with Cupcake Kiki

Happy Thursday to all you wonderful crafters.  I made another simple birthday card and I have a few more to go.  Shame on me for being so late (tsk, tsk).  I have once again used this cutie Cupcake Kiki.  She is so adorable, I can't put her way yet.  The base is Bazzill Bling/October and it has such a nice frosty sheen to it.  I used my Sizzix heart fold card die so the DP you see behind the card is the inside of the card with just the heart on the cover.  I also used a Sizzix Frames & Corners Set die that my dear sweet friend Suzan sent to me (thank you Suzan! I love this die set!). Cupcake Kiki is colored with Copics, and after coloring in her face, I used the "0" blender to remove some color around her eyes to brighten it up a bit, although you probably can't tell because of my lousy picture LOL! I added some Cotton Candy Stickles to the cupcake as well as in her hair.  I made the little pink rosette with some pink lace and added the rose.  Both the heart sentiment and Cupcake Kiki are adhered on foam tape for dimension.
Thank you for taking the time stop by.  I wish you all a wonderful day, and a very happy, fun-filled weekend.  I can't believe next Monday is already August or should I say "Aghast" as time is flying by too fast!  Until next time, happy crafting and stay safe.

Just Magnolia Challenge - "Vintage" Featuring Tilda with Hat

Good morning and a happy Tuesday to all of you in blogland!  Hope your week got off to a good start after a fun weekend!  I decided to play in the Just Magnolia challenge for this week and they are looking for something "vintage" so I dug through my DPs and found this vintage-y looking DP from Anna Griffin, and thought this Tilda in Hat had a kinda "vintage" look with that hat and veil LOL!  You can get your Magnolia stamps from Lady Diana of Magnolia-licious by clicking on the pic on my sidebar on the right side.  So, here is my vintage Tilda:
My card base is the usual 5.5" square and I used SU! kraft CS, then an olive green CS from Bazzill followed by the DP from Anna Griffin.  Tilda is stamped with Memento tuxedo black ink on PTI select white CS and colored with Copics.  I adhered her with foam tape for dimension to a die-cut with Bazzill olive green CS from a Marianne Design Creatables and you can check out the other dies here.  All trims are from my stash.  I left the bottom right corner area open so I can adhere a sentiment later.
Thank you for stopping by and I wish you all a wonderful day.

Birthday Card

Happy Aloha Friday, Crafters!  July is a busy month for me with so many birthdays.  Here's one of the many BD cards I need to make.  I think I'll just make duplicates since they will be going to different people (shhhh!).
Here's the front of the card.  I don't know the name of this DP as I found it in a stack on my shelf.  I didn't want to take away from the pretty cake with the cupcake on top, and it didn't leave me much room for anything but the image of Cupcake Kiki (by C.C. Designs) so I didn't even put a sentiment on the front.

Here's the inside of the card, the top half as you open the card.  I didn't take a pic of the bottom half where I wrote a message.
This image is Cupcake Belle, also from C.C. Designs.
The sentiment is from SU! Well Scripted. I love the sentiments from SU!.
All images colored with Copics, and stickles added to give it some bling.  The pink lace trim and polka dot ribbon is from my stash.  Very simple, straight-forward card so there's nothing much more to add.  I thought the DP was so pretty with all the glitter on it and didn't want to take away from it.
Thank you for stopping by today, and I wish you all have a wonderful weekend.

Dutch Dare Card Challenge #82 - Criss-Cross Card

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.  I came across this DDC challenge while blurfing and decided to play along.  I had to make a card for a special friend who happens to like the color purple so here is the card I made:
I am so into my new hAnglar and stAnglar stamps so I'm sorry if I'm boring you.  I have wanted these stamps for so long and finally we are able to buy them from the UK e-bay site.
The card size is 5.5" square, and the base is made from SU! whisper white CS.  The DPs are both from Bo Bunny and has some nice sparkle in it although you can't see it!
The images were stamped on PTI CS and colored with Copics, cut out, and adhered with foam tape.
I added some nice trim with little rose buds on them that I got from our LSS, Munchkins.  I added stickles to part of her outfit and shoes to add a little bling to go with the DPs.
That's the little note card sticking out of the pocket that you can see in the following picture below.
I love these criss-cross cards as they are fun and fast to make!

I decided to actually make a folded note card so I could write a message inside.  I hope my friend likes this card with these images.
The Dutch Dare Card Challenge closes at 11:59 MST, Wednesday, July 28th so you still have lots of time to join in!  Go check it out here.  There are so many wonderful creations to inspire you.
Thank you for stopping by again, and enjoy your Sunday!

Tamiko's Challenge #5 - Flowers!

Happy Aloha Friday stampers!  Are you all set for the weekend?  I am!  I can't believe it but this is my second post this week!  There's a great challenge going on at Tamiko's and you can get all the deets here.  It ends July 25th so you still have time to play so go check it out.  This is what I came up with, AFTER finding some nice chocolate (and PINK!) DPs that I didn't have for my previous challenge card!
Quick and simple card!  Card base is 5.5" square using SU! Pink Pirouette CS.  DPs from Pebbles-Twitterpated Collection (I Love You) and BoBunny-Love Bandit Tweetheart (flowers).
I don't know the name of this cutie but she's from the "Spotlight" set by the Greeting Farm.  Help me out here.  If you know her name, let me know! Lots of cute images in this set. You can purchase these great TGF stamps at Tamiko's Online Store.  AND, if your order is over $25, the shipping is FREE (delivery in the USA only).  You can't beat that.
The large roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the smaller one from my stash.  I also added a cute pink pin from Maya Road, and adhered some flat back pearls from Hero Arts.
Thank you for stopping by today, and I wish you all a fun-filled weekend with some crafting time!

Chocolate Tilda

Happy hump day, Everyone!  Thank you for stopping by today.  There's a new challenge blog on the block called Totally Tilda, and their theme for this is Chocolate!  You must use a Tilda image, and they are looking for Browns & Creams in your project.  I struggled because I don't really have pretty brown DPs, but luckily found just one!  Here's my take on this challenge:
My card base is a 5.5" square and I used Bazzill CS, and the DP is from Doodlebug (Chocolate Decadence!).  The second DP is from K&Co.  Tilda (Tilda with Flowing Hair) is stamped on PTI select white CS with Memento tuxedo black, colored with Copics, cut out and mounted on foam tape on a die cut piece.  This die is from Marianne Design "Creatables" and you can check it out here.  The edges of the die cut was distressed with Frayed Burlap, then I added some distress Tea Dye stickles.  Leaf trim and ribbon trim with roses from my stash.   Have a wonderful day/evening and happy crafting!

Lovely Hanglar Only - Challenge #3

Happy Tuesday/Wednesday all you happy crafters out there!  I have a short post today.  This is for the Lovely hAnglar Only Challenge #3 which is a sketch challenge.  The image I used for this card is from Kit #1 that I purchased on E-bay.  Unfortunately, I don't know the names of the images.  Here she is:

I did not add a "text" or sentiment yet because I don't know for what occasion I will send this card.  Ooops, may get me disqualified LOL!
The card base is Bazzill, the matting is CTMH Garden Green (not sure if this color is still available!).  The DP is from my stash.
I stamped the image with Memento tuxedo black on PTI white CS and colored with Copics.
The cotton lace trim is from a LSS, MS and Punch Bunch punches for leaves.
I adhered both images with foam tape for dimension, and added Cotton Candy Stickles to her outfit.

Here is the sketch.  You will find tons of beautiful cards here.  You still have time to enter if you have H&S stamps/images.  It ends on July 11.
Have a wonderful week, and happy crafting.  Thank you for stopping by.

Double Pocket Bag (Altered slightly) with a hAnglar Cutie

Happy "Aloha Friday" to all you talented crafters out there in Blogland!  We can all start celebrating the long Fourth of July weekend coming up.  Today I would like to share a project I had some time to work on.  I'm slowly getting back to crafting.
I was so impressed and inspired when I saw a tutorial by Lee Ann Greff of Flowerbug's Inkspot to make a double pocket bag.  It is so fun and fast to create!  Thank you for sharing your tutorial, Lee Ann!  You can find her instructions here.
I made a few changes to her instructions and it can be seen in the next pic.
On the cover, I used one of my new hAnglar and stAnglar stamps I purchased from E-bay UK.  I don't know the name of the images, but it's from Kit #1.
I won't bore you with all the details as this was a fast and simple project.

This is the inside.  The two little changes I made to Lee Ann's instructions were: 1) I tucked the flap inside so it looks like a "lined" envelope (shown on the right side), and 2) I did not score and fold the 1/2" lines in the middle of the double pocket bag because I used it for a different purpose and it would be too bulky.
As you can see, I was able to fit several (8-9) stamped images in each side pocket (4-1/4" x 5-1/2"). I simply trimmed the inside and outside with some beige lace trim and added pink ribbon adorned with little flowers from Kaiser scrapbook. Thank you for taking the time to stop by.  Have a wonderful long 4th of July weekend!

RAKs from Friends

I don't believe it's already July!  Half the year has already passed, and before any more time escapes me, I thought I'd post some lovely cards I received from talented crafters out there.  If you click on their name, it will take you to their blog so you can be inspired with more of their talents.  So without further delay, here they are:

From Linda, who also co-hosts the monthly One Card Swap (OCS) with her "other half" Kyoko.  This OCS was created by Teri who has passed the baton over to Linda and Kyoko.  It's a fun monthly card swap so go check it out.
Thank you for always thinking of me, Linda!  I appreciate your thoughtfulness and friendship.

These next two cards are from Tammi.  She sent them along with some stamped images she shared with me, and the second one was enclosed with the goodies I won from her blog candy.  Thank you, Tammi!

And last, but definitely note least, is a "get well" card and awesome goodies from my dear sweet friend Kyoko!  She makes up the "other half" of the Linda-Kyoko team!  Check out all those beautiful brads!  Thank you so much, Kyoko.
I have met so many wonderful in Blogland and each of you have touched my heart in loving ways.  Have a wonderful day and an even great weekend.  Happy crafting to you all.  I'll be back tomorrow to share a project I worked on last night.  Thank you for taking the time to stop by; I appreciate your sweet comments and encouragement.
